I enjoyed your analysis of the game, but I pretty much disagree with some of your points.

I personally think that we need to focus on improving a part of our game that is lacking -- run blocking. I'm not saying Benson is underachieving solely because of this, but I do think that improving our run blocking could make our running game more effective - and therefore open up the passing game even more.

I think any coach in the league will stress the importance of the running game to improving your passing game. I think the best way for us to improve our passing game, is to work on our running game - specifically the run blocking.

Run blocking is a skill and has alot of strategy involved. Execution is critical, but it can make Benson into that 100 yard a game back that we need him to be.

I'd say that we spent some time on pass protection this past week in preparation for this game, because it was much improved. I believe we need to put some focus on the run blocking now and find ways to open holes more consistently. Benson isn't the kind of back that is going to make a bunch of moves to get int the open field, he needs some holes to power through. Watch the last few games if you have them DVR'd. You'll see that we can improve quite a bit in run blocking.
